Madame Tussauds Washington D.C. is a fully interactive, full-sensory experience, where visitors are able to touch, see and hear major historical events and celebrities in a way unlike any other Washington D.C. attraction. The premier wax attraction pays homage to some of the most influential and important political figures in U.S. history, sports, pop culture, music, fashion and Hollywood.

Introduced on Presidents Weekend 2011, The Presidents Gallery by Madame Tussauds opened the Presidents Gallery; a fully interactive exhibit featuring all 44 U.S. Presidents as well as major moments in our nation’s history. Sculpted by Madame Tussauds artists in London, each figure took three to four months to complete, as each required an extensive amount of research. In order to make the figures as lifelike as possible, Madame Tussauds artists studied hundreds of photographs, and when available, hours of video footage. Of course in some cases, the artists did not have the luxury of photographs or videos, needed to rely on paintings even historical accounts. The Presidents Gallery by Madame Tussauds has the US Presidents on display in a chronological journey through history. With the completion and opening of the Gallery, Madame Tussauds is the only place in the world that people will be able to meet and take pictures with all 44 U.S. presidents.

After finishing the walk through history see what Madame Tussauds is most known for; celebrities and sensationalism. Dance with Beyonc? in the Glamour room and mingle with A-Listers like Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lopez and George Clooney. Outrun Jessie Owens and outscore Alex Ovechkin in the Sports Zone and then get interviewed by Joan Rivers, Larry King and Katie Couric in the Media room. With world-renowned celebrities and icons throughout, Madame Tussauds is appealing to all ages and easily translates into a fun, interactive experience for guests of all ages.

LIMITED TIME FIGURES
Our newest temporary figure is the one, the only, LADY GAGA! Lady Gaga will be visiting DC until June 28. Gaga was launched in 7 Madame Tussauds attractions globally in December 2010.

Available now through June 2012 see Justin Timberlake! Originally cast while in the boy band N’SYNC, Timberlake’s second figure was recast in 2007.

Available now through June 28, 2012 see the limited time Michael Jackson Experience. This traveling exhibit features three Michael Jackson figures during different periods of his career, The Jackson 5 years, The Bad Era, and the “This is It” Michael. This experience is included in the price of the admission ticket.
