Washington Photo Safari takes you around the monuments of the nation’s capital and shows you how – and where – to take great pictures. Not a tour, this is a workshop in travel photography given by a professional architectural photographer E. David Luria; you will receive a 35-minute orientation on travel photography techniques and tips on composition, lighting & exposure. Practice you’re new found talent in Lafayette Park, at the White House, the Lincoln, Korean, Vietnam and Albert Einstein Memorials. Finally, at Union Station, David will show you how to take pictures in large indoor spaces without flash or a tripod.

Offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:30am & 1:15pm, all year long, rain or shine… Offered to photographers of any skill level, with any kind of camera!

After you enjoy lunch in Union Station, you will go on to photograph the colorful Adams-Morgan entertainment neighborhood, the magnificent Washington National Cathedral, where Mr. Luria instructs you on how – and how not – to photograph stained glass windows. The day ends at the Iwo Jima Marine Corps Memorial in Arlington, with the spectacular views of the DC monuments. The full day safari concludes around 5:15pm and clients are then taken to the Rosselyn Metro Station.
